Just FYI, this situation happened over 24 years ago, but I still remember it like it happened yesterday! Some of the details may be off a little just because of bad memory recall!
It was the year before my 9th grade year of high school. We had an awesome day at Kennywood. However, it was time to go home. I was riding home in the car with 3 friends, while the one friend's mother drove the car home. We were all so tired that we fell asleep on the ride home. I would be the first one to be dropped off. Well, I remember that my friends said we were getting ready to pull onto my road. I remember starting to sit up and then the next thing I remember is waking up in my mother's bed about 24 hours later. My head hurt so bad and I felt dizzy. I went to get out of bed and fell to the floor. My mother apparently heard me and came up. I had to be carried to the bathroom because I couldn't walk. WHAT HAPPENED????????
Well, I heard numerous stories of what happened that night. On the front page of the newspaper, I saw the picture of the car that I was riding in. OH, I wish I still had the newspaper article of the newspaper story because it would be great to put in here.
DRUNK DRIVER ALMOST KILLS 4 PEOPLE WHILE RACING
WHAT HAPPENED????? Well, we were stopped in the left lane and getting ready to turn onto my street. Two people, who were racing and drunk driving decided to smash into the car that we were in at about 60 mph.!!!! It pushed us into movement and across the road. The two people in the front seat were thrown out of the car. The three of us in the back were stuck!!!!! My mother has often told me that she heard all of the sirens and just knew in her heart that it was us!!!!! Well, the emergency personnel had to get the jaws of life to get all of us out of the back seat. One person had a broken arm and I don't remember what everyone else had because I was pretty messed up myself. I was told that I was talking and my eyes were open when the emergency personnel were getting up out, but I don't remember being there for any of it!!!!! Then, I was told that I was talking in the hospital and throwing up! Once again, I remember none of this. All I remember is being told to wake up and then waking up in my mother's bed unable to walk.
Well, needless to say, I was pretty messed up. It caused me extreme pain to walk. I had to go through therapy in an attempt to learn to walk again. I also remember, that I went away to majorette camp shortly after this and I was in so much pain, that I called my father crying and begging him to come get me because I was in so much pain.

Can you believe that this wasn't the only time that the emergency personnel said that I should of died in a car wreck? YEP!!! When I was about 22 years old, I was driving to the gym early in the morning. I was at a red light in Etna, when all of a sudden I felt my car move forward smashing into a school bus. What happened? A mack truck lost its breaks and smashed into the back of my mustang. The impact sent me into a bus full of children and the truck drove straight into a house and then I ended up smashing into a metal pole. The emergency personnel told me that luckily the mack truck turned slightly so that he didn't hit me straight on!!! Well, guess what I went to hospital again!!! They did tests and told me I was fine and to go home! I went home and I ended up throwing up, passing out and having excruxtiating pain. Well, I wasn't going back to the hospital because they told me I was okay. I ended up going to the chiropractor at the gym. He took x-rays and started treating me. It took awhile, but then I was back to normal.

You say, "wow, there is no way that another one like that can happen!" Think again. It can and it did!!! The running joke in my family is that I need a tank to drive around!!!! LOL!!!! Well, I was driving home from work. I was working at the Watson Institute at this point. I was driving on Millerstown Road, when a car coming off of 908 extension/Bakerstown Road ran through the stop sign and smashed into my car. The impact sent me spinning across the road and ending in a bush in front of someone's house. Guess what, another car bites the dust!!!! Totalled!!!!! I was also in excruxiating pain again. This time, I was getting light headed, nauseous and having a difficult time doing anything!!! I was so scared because how was I going to take care of my children????? I decided that I would try anything to feel better. I went through Physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, pain medications. OH, the pain medications sucked because I couldn't even function after taking one!!!! I was losing hope fast!!! My PCP thought that I had chronic fatigue syndrome and Fibromyalgia, which was triggered by the accident!!!! However, she wanted me to go to Cleveland clinic to have the diagnosises confirmed!! We made the appointment for the Cleveland Clinic and drove out there!!They did confirm the diagnosises and started to talk about natural supplements to address the fibromyalgia. At this point, I had been in pain and treatment for two years. My current chiropractor had recommended some supplements and continued to treat me with chiropractic care!!!! He also told me to work out no matter how bad that it hurt!!!! WHAT????? Well, I listened to him and took the supplements, got the chiropractic care and worked out!!! OH, and yes, I was in pain from working out!!! But guess what, I got stronger and the pain leasened!!!!! I can't remember the last time that I had pain!!!!!!
GOD AND ANGELS WERE WATCHING OVER US
There isn't a day that I don't think about all three of these wrecks. I am grateful to be alive!!!! These are three times that I know God and angels were with me!!!!!!!
